Tim Cole is a New York based Digital Photographer specializing in Portrait, Event and Conceptual images. Tim earned an Associate’s Degree in Visual Arts from Suffolk County Community College, a Bachelor’s and a Master's Degree in Art History and Criticism from Stony Brook University, where he graduated magna cum laude.
Tim owns his own Photography business and maintains both a studio and off-site presence. He also works for the Gateway Playhouse in Bellport, New York, where he is the Manager of Customer Service/Quality Assurance. He is a member of the Photographic Society of America, the American Society of Media Photographers and the Bellport Camera Club.
Artist Statement
Being trained as both a Fine Artist and an Art Historian, I attempt to combine the two disciplines into a unique approach to my art. As an artist, I strive to capture images that speak both to me and to others about the beauty that exists among the marginalized, abandoned and forgotten.
